Schedule

  • Schedule appointments for patients.
  • Answer telephone promptly and in a polite and professional manner.
  • Obtain and enter accurate demographic information into patients' accounts.
  • Enter data into patients' accounts.
  • Use judgment in handling calls to ensure appropriate scheduling.
  • Use judgment in handling calls to advise patients on best office and times to make appointments.
  • Speak clearly in order to communicate effectively between patient and provider, provide pre-visit instructions/directions, and relay provider instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Promote a sense of pride in the call center and positive interpersonal relations among all team members.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in providing coverage and/or availability for the call center via scheduling adjustments for unexpected absences, events, or call volume variances.
  • Schedule patient visits and answer questions, including billing and preparation.
  • Communicate with patients about their status and condition through emails, phone.

Requirements

  • Must speak both English and Spanish.
  • Must live in Nassau/Suffolk County.
  • Familiar with reading medical records.
  • Proficient in Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel/Word.
  • Extremely detail-oriented and organized.
  • Able to meet deadlines.
