About the Role
A nuclear medicine technologist collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to prepare and administer radioactive drugs, operate radiation detection and imaging equipment, and ensure patient safety and care protocols are followed.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, administer, and manage radioactive substances
- Operate imaging and radiation detection equipment
- Follow safety protocols and hospital policies
- Collaborate with healthcare team to deliver quality patient care
Requirements
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in nuclear medicine technology
- State license and certification to practice nuclear medicine
- BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years’ hospital experience in nuclear medicine
- Familiarity with radiation equipment and radioactive drug handling
Preferred Qualifications
- ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification
