Traveling MEP Superintendent

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Traveling MEP Superintendent to lead and coordinate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installation and commissioning activities across multiple project sites. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards especially on critical infrastructure projects such as data centers.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site leadership and supervision of MEP crews, subcontractors, and vendors across multiple project sites, ensuring work is performed safely and to specification.
• Plan, sequence, and manage day-to-day MEP installation activities to meet project schedules and milestones; coordinate logistics for materials, equipment, and manpower while traveling between sites.
• Oversee installation, startup, testing, and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems including HVAC, chillers, piping, boilers, switchgear, UPS, generators, and fire suppression systems with a focus on data center critical systems where applicable.
• Enforce safety programs and jobsite policies, conduct toolbox talks, safety audits, and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
• Collaborate with project management, engineering, quality control, and clients to resolve field issues, clarify drawings/specifications, and manage RFIs and change orders.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, work logs, manpower reports, and as-built documentation; update schedule forecasts and report progress to project leadership.
• Mentor and develop field personnel, promote skilled trades training, and drive a culture of continuous improvement and efficient work practices.
• Facilitate coordination with other trades and site stakeholders to minimize conflicts and ensure smooth integration of MEP systems into the overall project.
• Support commissioning and handover activities for data center projects, including coordination of factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), load bank testing, and transfer to operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years MEP Superintendent experience
• Data Center experience
