Location: Hanahan, SC. Full-time day shift with 75% travel required (CONUS and OCONUS Europe locations). Must be a U.S. citizen able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
About the Role
SAIC is seeking a Traveling Integration Technician to support the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) program. After initial training at the Hanahan facility, you will deploy to a CONUS site alongside an experienced Field Service Representative (FSR) to gain familiarity with the duties.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and upgrade Command, Control, Communications, Computers (C4) Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems and equipment on tactical vehicles.
- Perform alternate equipment custodian duties, including receiving Mission Support Equipment (MSE) shipments, conducting inventory, operational checks, and tagging, packaging, storing, and onward shipment of MSE.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology, math, or science; or formal electronics training from a Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications; or completion of a four-year electronics apprentice program; or High School diploma or GED.
- Five years of practical experience with a degree/formal training, or seven years with a High School diploma/GED. Experience must include design, preparation, and modification of engineering documents and drawings.
- Notable experience in one or more of the following:
- Constructing components, subunits, or simple models, or adapting standard equipment.
- Troubleshooting and correcting malfunctions.
- Following layout and scientific diagrams to construct and package devices.
- Conducting tests or experiments, including minor modifications to test setups or procedures.
- Extracting and compiling engineering data from field notes, manuals, or lab reports.
- Assisting in design modifications by compiling relevant data.
- Capable of performing assignments with minimal standardization, adapting procedures or equipment as needed, and working independently with initial guidance from a supervisor or engineer.
Specific Experience
- Four years of practical experience in C4ISR systems, C4ISR land-based vehicular platforms, or related C4ISR systems/subsystems, including installation of such equipment.
- Two years of experience in design, preparation, and modification of engineering documents and drawings.
- Three years of experience in C4ISR systems, C4ISR land-based vehicular platforms, or related C4ISR systems/subsystems, with at least two of those years performed within the last three years. (Experience may overlap.)
