Responsibilities
- Installing, maintaining, and upgrading all Command, Control, Communications, Computers (C4) Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems and equipment on all tactical vehicles in the area assigned
- May perform alternate equipment custodian duties as well as receiving Mission Support Equipment (MSE) shipments, conducting inventory, operational checks as well as tagging, packaging, storing and onward shipment of MSE
Qualifications
- Education and Experience:
- Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology, math, or science
- Formal electronics training from Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications
- Four-year electronics apprentice program
- High School diploma or GED
- Experience:
- No experience with degree/formal training or three (3) years with HS/GED of practical experience to include performing one or a combination of the following duties:
- Assembling or installing equipment or parts requiring simple wiring, soldering, or connecting
- Performing simple or routine tasks or tests such as tensile or hardness tests
- Operating and adjusting simple test equipment
- Recording test data
- Gathering and maintaining specified records of engineering data such as tests, drawings, etc.
- Performing computations by substituting numbers in specified formulas
- Plotting data and drawing simple curves and graphs
- Citizenship and Clearance:
- Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance
