Traveling Heavy Equipment Operator

Responsibilities

• Certainly operate a variety of heavy equipment including backhoes, bulldozers, loaders, screeners, excavators, and others.
• Proficient in operating machinery such as backhoe, front end loader, excavator, bulldozer, track-hoe, and compactor.
• Operate a heavy-duty forklift as needed.
• Absolutely ensure the equipment is never operated in an unsafe manner or contrary to standard operating procedures.
• Complete and submit all associated paperwork as required for waste tracking.
• Occasionally perform labor work as necessary.
• Ensure that Health and Safety is the top priority by adhering to all safe work practices, policies, and processes and maintaining a safe work environment at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment, particularly bull dozers and excavators.
• Previous construction experience (earthworks) is preferred.
• Must be able to travel 95-100% of the time, with a typical schedule of 6 weeks on-site followed by 1 week off.
• A current valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required.
