About the role

Our organization is seeking a dedicated and experienced Traveling Field Technician to join our dynamic team. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where innovation and customer service are at the forefront. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting water meters and other related equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair water meter systems and related equipment in accordance with company standards and procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues promptly.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing customer queries and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports detailing work activities and equipment conditions.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to develop, implement, and improve installation and maintenance procedures.
  • Comply with all safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay updated with industry trends and advancements.
  • Coordinate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Field Technician or in a similar role in the engineering industry.
  • Proven experience in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting water meter systems.
  • Excellent technical skills, with a strong understanding of engineering principles and practices.
  • Outstanding customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and address their needs promptly and professionally.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various job sites as required.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy equipment.
