Traveling Electrical TIG Welder

Position Overview

This position is responsible for working on critical power systems across the U.S. in a role that combines TIG welding with hands-on technical work—ideal for welders who take pride in their work, follow procedures, and are committed to continuous learning and improving every day.

Travel Requirements

• You must have a REAL ID and/or Passport to travel within the U.S. via airplane.
• Extended overnight travel via airplane or vehicle is required for this role 60% of the calendar year.
• You must be located 2 hours or less from a major international airport.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience with TIG Aluminum or Stainless Steel
• Desire to learn, grow, and earn certifications
• Comfortable with overnight travel
• Certification of Welding from accredited school is preferred
• Valid Driver's License
• OSHA 10 is required (may obtain prior to start date)
• Ability to become certified in accordance with the company’s welding procedures
• Demonstrated knowledge of raw materials, welding processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacturing of goods
• Demonstrated ability to read and write processes
• Physical ability to independently lift, carry or maneuver up to 50 pounds
• Demonstrated ability to communicate (verbal/written) effectively with customers, suppliers and employees
• Demonstrated ability to work in a cooperative and team-oriented environment
• Demonstrated ability to use computers and shop reference manuals
• Demonstrated knowledge of blueprint reading
