Traveling Dental Assistant — Mobile Dental Care
About the Role
Marquis Mobile Dental Services, managed by ExcelHealth Group, LLC, is hiring a Traveling Dental Assistant to help bring compassionate, high-quality dental care directly to residents in long-term care communities. This role offers variety in your workday, teamwork, and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference for patients who need access to care. You’ll work in a unique mobile clinic setting, traveling to nursing home communities to provide care onsite in a supportive, well-equipped environment.
You’ll work closely with a clinic manager, dentist, and patient transporter while gaining valuable experience in both dental services and long-term care.
Schedule and Travel
This role travels four (4) to five (5) days per week, with frequent overnight stays of three (3) to four (4) nights per week. Team members typically meet at a designated location and travel together in a company vehicle. The traveling team usually includes the clinic manager, dental assistant, and patient transporter, while dentists generally arrive separately at the facility.
Our clinics serve long-term care facilities across the state, bringing dental care directly to residents where they live.

Responsibilities
- Assist elderly residents, including helping transport patients in wheelchairs or geriatric chairs to and from the mobile dental unit when needed.
- Prepare instruments, equipment, and materials for patient treatment.
- Commit to proper sterilization, infection control, and clinic cleanliness procedures.
- Maintain strong attention to detail, organization, punctuality, and reliability.
- Communicate compassionately and respectfully with patients, facility staff, and team members.
- Support daily clinic operations with flexibility.
Requirements
- Ability to meet the travel schedule and overnight requirements listed above.
- Current Dental Assistant certificate required.
- Must have or be able to obtain radiographer certification or licensure to assist with X-rays.
- Comfort assisting elderly residents, including patient transport when needed.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, punctuality, and reliability.
- A compassionate, respectful communication style.
- Flexibility with schedule and willingness to support daily clinic operations.
Employment Requirements
