Location: Nashville, TN (fully onsite position)
About the role
We are seeking a Data Center Systems Engineer to provide hands-on field-support in an Enterprise Data Center for a Fortune 100 company. The ideal candidate will be comfortable performing hardware repairs inside servers, replacing components, and confidently troubleshooting at the rack level. Prior Dell Field Service Engineer (FSE) experience is a significant plus.
Responsibilities
- Manage and track support tickets
- Diagnose and resolve hardware issues with PowerEdge servers, Nvidia GPUs, and NICs
- Read and interpret Linux logs
- Perform cabling, racking, and physical installation tasks
- Provide excellent customer service and clear communication (verbal and written)
- Collaborate effectively within an onsite team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Lift up to 65 pounds and work safely on ladders
- Support after-hours and weekend schedules as needed
- Travel occasionally to other sites
Requirements
- Hands-on experience repairing server hardware (e.g., replacing drives, memory, NICs, GPUs)
- Familiarity with PowerEdge servers and data-center cabling
- Basic networking knowledge
- Experience reading Linux logs
- Strong customer communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Flexible schedule, including after-hours and weekend support
Nice-to-have skills
- Linux CLI experience
- RoCE (RDMA over Converged Ethernet) network experience
- Nvidia GPU/NIC troubleshooting
Pay
$40.00 – $50.00 per hour
