Traveling Construction Superintendent

Company: Tony Wilson Constructors, Inc. – Full-time position based in Kentucky. Must live within commutable distance of the main office.

You will serve as the primary on-site operational leader, driving the successful execution of commercial construction projects. This role gives you complete autonomy to manage sub-contractors, implement schedules, and enforce top-tier safety standards. Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage daily on-site operations to ensure projects stay on time and within budget.
• Supervise, mentor, and train new field superintendents to ensure consistent operational excellence.
• Lead weekly safety and look-ahead meetings with sub-contractors and vendors to align project goals.
• Evaluate sub-contractor performance and make decisive adjustments to maintain strict quality standards.
• Act as the primary liaison between project managers, clients, architects, and inspectors.
• Manage daily logs, weekly written updates, and photographic progress reports via field software.
• Enforce rigorous safety guidelines on-site to maintain an excellent corporate safety record.

Requirements

• Proven track record of leadership in commercial construction as a primary on-site superintendent.
• Experience reading and interpreting complex blueprints, structural drawings, and mechanical schematics.
• Proficiency in digital project management tools and standard office software.
• Possession of or ability to obtain OSHA 10-hour and 30-hour certifications.
• Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

• 10 or more years of related work experience in commercial general contracting.
• Immediate proficiency with Procore and ComputerEase software platforms.
• Advanced expertise in coordinating multi-trade commercial construction schedules.

Pay

$100,000 - $110,000 per year plus performance-based bonus.
