Traveling Construction Senior Project Manager (Midwest)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead our project team(s) and provide clear communication and guidance to team members, vendors, clients, and executives
  • Mitigate and manage project risk, and elevate concerns – and solutions – quickly to Project Operations and Field Operations leadership
  • Cultivate relationships with clients, communicate swiftly, collaborate, and solve challenges
  • Oversee all project finance requirements and lead the team through accurate billings, project setup, project buy-out, project cost control, change order management, and cost-to-complete
  • Ensure compliance with the full project schedule from project kickoff to project closeout
  • Chair project meetings including planning, progress updates, and reviews with customers
  • Work with departments across the organization to ensure that project materials are available and in place as needed
  • Own the full scope of the project contract and negotiate changes as needed
  • Maintain a high degree of safety on our work across the jobsite

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience in commercial construction project management
  • Active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (bonus points)
  • Extensive knowledge in construction management software (bonus points)
  • Experience with design-build, hard bid, and negotiated projects around $50M+ (bonus points)

  • Organized, great at prioritization, and have a strong attention to detail
  • A great communicator, a team player, and ready to work with colleagues across our job sites and organization
  • A leader and effective at interfacing with customers and executives
  • Skilled in motivating and mentoring junior colleagues

Skills

  • Construction Management degree, Engineering degree, Construction Management Program certificate, or another related degree (bonus points)

Pay

Pay Range: $220,000 – $280,000*

Estimated total compensation includes base salary, vehicle allowance, project-based per diem, and eligibility for an annual incentive.

Actual total compensation will vary depending on project location and travel requirements.

Schedule

This role requires flexibility and willingness to travel and temporarily reside near project sites for extended project assignments.

Potential jobsite locations may include Ohio, Indiana, Iowa, and/or Wisconsin.
