Traveling Construction Field Technician | Austin, TX

Principal Responsibilities

Aid in all stages of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, implementation, and closure.Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to achieve project goals.Develop and maintain project schedules; conduct regular site inspections to evaluate progress, quality, cleanliness, and safety compliance.Support resolution of issues or conflicts during construction, implementing effective solutions to keep projects on track.Ensure adherence to building codes, regulations, and industry standards throughout construction.Implement and enforce safety protocols, prioritizing a safe work environment for all personnel.Prepare and present reports, progress summaries, and documentation to senior management and clients as required.

Required Qualifications And Skills

  • Associate degree, or certificate, in Construction Management, preferred
  • No experience required, previous experience in construction administration preferred
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities, with a keen attention to detail
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft and MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Solid understanding of construction safety regulations and protocols
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think critically and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to construction sites as needed, as well as the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background check
  • Ability to acquire a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) Card within 90 days of employment
  • Ability to complete Miner Safety Health Administration (MSHA) training within 30-days of employment
  • Able to travel up to 100% of the time with overnight stays, both locally and nationally; Temporary relocation may be required for weeks at a time
