Traveling Apprentice Electrician – Prism Electric. Prism Electric is an open‑shop electrical contractor serving Texas and Oklahoma, headquartered in Garland. Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, maintain, and test electrical equipment and wiring systems in commercial, industrial, and large multi‑family settings.
• Prepare work area for equipment installation.
• Install or assist in installing electrical components and connect wiring and equipment according to code and job specifications.
• Operate equipment only when trained and certified (e.g., powder‑activated tools, JLG lifts).
• Set up and operate tools such as hydraulic benders, power threaders, power pullers, and cable vacuum systems.
• Read blueprints and electrical drawings and install as specified.
• Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances per drawings or plans.
• Secure and lock up equipment after use.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Electrical Apprentice License.
• Ability to work 8‑10 hours per day, 40 hours per week, with overtime and night shifts as required.
• Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift objects over 50 lb, and work in various weather conditions while wearing required personal protective equipment.
• Journeyman trade certification in a related construction trade is highly desirable.
• Excellent knowledge of building codes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
