About the role
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray) for a 13-week night shift contract at a pediatric healthcare facility in California.
Responsibilities
- Work in the X-Ray department within a pediatric healthcare facility
- Perform 11.5-hour shifts on a 4x12 schedule (7 shifts per 2-week period)
- Operate radiographic equipment to produce diagnostic images
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures
- Document patient information accurately
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiology Technologist
- Valid CA state license required (if applicable)
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Two professional references from authority figures (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) required for consideration
- At least one previous travel assignment is required — first-time travelers will not be considered
- Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
Qualifications
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Additional qualifications include:
- Current CPR certification
- Knowledge of pediatric care and patient handling
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 48 hours per week (subject to confirmation).
