About the Role
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology / Cardiology X-Ray Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Madison, Wisconsin. This role requires 2+ years of experience and Level II trauma experience in a Level I/II trauma teaching hospital.
Responsibilities
- Work in the X-Ray Tech unit of an acute care teaching hospital.
- Perform a wide range of radiographic exams including abdomen, upper and lower extremity, chest, spine, pelvis, and head studies.
- Perform trauma imaging including trauma upper/lower extremity, trauma shoulder/humerus, and trauma cases.
- Conduct fluoroscopy studies such as barium swallow, contrast enema, and upper GI series.
- Perform mobile and surgical imaging including C-Arm procedures, O-ARM, portable abdomen, and portable chest.
- Utilize GE, Philips, and Siemens equipment along with PACS system.
- Use Epic charting system.
- Work 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
- Saturday rotation required approximately every 5th-6th week.
- Holiday and standby call may be required based on operational need.
- Float as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
- Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology.
- ARRT-R certification required.
- BLS certification required through American Heart Association only.
- State license required if applicable.
- Level II trauma experience required; Level I trauma experience preferred.
- Teaching hospital experience preferred.
- Experience with contrast media preparation and/or administration preferred.
- Knowledge of infection prevention, isolation precautions, PPE, and radiation safety required.
- Candidates must live 50+ miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted.
- First-time travelers may be considered.
Additional Information
Facility is a Magnet-designated teaching hospital and referral center. References are not required for consideration.
Schedule
- 10-hour shifts, 40 hours per week.
- Days: 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
- Saturday rotation approximately every 5th-6th week.
- Holiday and standby call may be required.
