Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray for a weekend block schedule requiring at least 1 year of experience, Epic proficiency, and an active ARRT and LSRT certification.
Details
- Work setting includes adult acute care, outpatient, ED, ICU, NICU, PICU, and OR environments
- Procedures include plain films, fluoroscopy studies (barium swallow, upper GI series, contrast enema), enema studies (barium enema air and single contrast), and surgery/C-arm cases
- Besides bedside and portable procedures, also perform enema studies and surgery/C-arm procedures
- Bedside and portable procedures performed, including portable chest and abdomen
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist
- Active ARRT and BLS certifications required
- Active LA State Radiologic Technology (LSRT) license required if applicable — temporary LSRT accepted (typically issued within 3–5 days of fee payment and proof of ARRT certification)
- Epic EMR experience required
- Experience with neonatal, infant, and geriatric patient populations required
- Experience with enema studies and surgery/C-arm procedures required
- Community hospital experience preferred

Additional Information
- First-time travelers are eligible for this position
- Candidates living within 75 miles of the facility are accepted at a local rate
- Former permanent employees of the health system must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
- RTO is limited to 5 days or fewer for the duration of the contract
- Scrub color is hunter green
- Non-billable orientation modules are required prior to the start of the assignment and typically range from 2–4 hours for allied health positions
