About the Role

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist – X-Ray for an acute care hospital with 150 staffed beds. This role supports Radiology and Cardiology services in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures across radiology and cardiology services
• Conduct general radiographic procedures including chest, abdomen, spine, pelvis, and extremity imaging
• Perform fluoroscopy studies such as barium swallow, upper GI series, and contrast enema
• Conduct mobile/surgical imaging including C-arm procedures and portable chest/abdomen studies
• Prepare and/or administer contrast media as needed
• Float between like units and sister facilities as needed
• Use Epic for charting; operate GE and Toshiba imaging equipment along with PACS and Fuji Synapse
• Work on-call as required
• Wear black scrubs (Radiology staff dress code)

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• ARRT (R) certification required
• BLS certification required
• CA license and Fluoroscopy certification required (license required if applicable)
• Community hospital experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Skilled in general radiographic procedures including chest, abdomen, spine, pelvis, and extremity imaging
• Experience with fluoroscopy studies such as barium swallow, upper GI series, and contrast enema
• Experience with mobile/surgical imaging including C-arm procedures and portable chest/abdomen studies
• Ability to prepare and/or administer contrast media
• Experience in Adult Acute Care and Emergency Department settings required; Adult Outpatient experience preferred
• Peripheral IV starting skills preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted (50-mile radius rule applies for local bill rate eligibility)
• Former Providence facility employees may return as travelers after a 3-month break, provided they reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application
• Candidates must be willing to work 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of relevant experience within the last 3 years required
