Travel X-Ray Tech - $2,240 per week

About the role

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Radiology Technologist for an immediate travel opening in Seattle, WA. The position requires 1 year of experience. As a Rad Tech, you will be responsible for the use of diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring images are accurate and passed to physicians for medical interpretation, and preparing and caring for patients undergoing radiologic testing. You will also need to understand and use the McKesson PACS system.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain imaging procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as required
• Follow physicians' orders regarding which area of the patient's body needs imaging
• Correctly position the patient and adjust imaging equipment to the appropriate position
• Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure to yourself and the patient by taking appropriate protection precautions
• Calibrate imaging equipment
• Prepare results for physician review
• Maintain accurate patient records

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist
• Current BLS certification
• ARRT (R) National Certification
• State‑specific licensing when required
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning the assignment

Schedule

8‑hour shifts, days; 40 hours per week.
