Travel X-Ray Tech - $1,838 per week

About the role

American Traveler is seeking a travel Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Memphis, Tennessee, at a pediatric hospital. The position involves night shifts (3x12 hours) including weekends (Saturday, Sunday, and Monday) with weekend coverage required as needed. Block scheduling is not accommodated.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiology and X-ray procedures in a pediatric radiology/cardiology department within a children’s hospital.
• Provide coverage on nights and weekends as required by the department.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiology Technologist; 3+ years preferred.
• Current ARRT (R) certification required.
• State license required if applicable.
• Pediatric imaging experience preferred.
• Level I Trauma Center experience preferred.
• Cerner EMR experience preferred.

Schedule

• Shift: Nights
• Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Hours per week: 36
• Weekend coverage required as needed.

Assignment Details

• Start Date: September 28, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Setting: Pediatric hospital with Level I Trauma Center designation.
• Must be willing to work 2 of 3 major end-of-year holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s) if they fall during the assignment, or at least 1 of 2 if only two occur.

Eligibility

• First-time travelers not accepted unless candidate has 3+ years of experience.
• Previous travelers or permanent employees must be separated from the facility for at least one year before returning.
• Local candidates not accepted within a 100-mile radius.
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application and will not be added after an offer is made.
