Travel Welder

About the role

Pro Mechanical Services Co. is seeking Travel Welders for a contract position with a manufacturer in Canton, Ohio. Candidates must live at least 100 miles outside of Canton, Ohio to qualify for the travel pay rate and per diem. Welders must be able to pass a box pressure test and fabricate according to prints. A minimum of 5 years of proven on-the-job experience is required.

Requirements

• MIG welding on various types of material
• Set up machine based on each task
• Use of cutting tools and other related equipment
• Operating forklifts and overhead crane
• Read and interpret drawings
• Must keep workstation clean and organized
• 5+ years of MIG experience
• Pass a MIG pressure test
• Must be able to read blueprints and a tape measure
• Use of power tools and other equipment
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Must be willing to work overtime if needed

Benefits

• Hourly pay plus per diem

Pay

$35 per hour plus $120 per day per diem.

Schedule

3rd shift, Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day with some weekends required. Weekly pay.
