Travel VAD Coordinator RN - $1,988 per week

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Clinic Cardiology for a 13-week contract position in Charleston, South Carolina. This role involves providing specialized care and oversight of patients receiving mechanical cardiac support, including rounding on both inpatient and outpatient individuals, troubleshooting devices, and ensuring successful management of advanced heart failure.

Schedule

Day shift, 5x8 hours (07:00 - 15:30 or 06:30 - 15:00), Monday to Friday. Weekend requirement: 1 weekend per month plus 1 weekday of call.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage patients with durable mechanical circulatory support devices such as HM 3, Heartware, and BrioVAD.
• Provide clinical support for Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps (IABP) and Impella devices.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in mechanical cardiac support, assisting in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Service and troubleshoot devices to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.

Requirements

• Two years of work experience as a registered nurse; preferred minimum of 1 year clinical experience managing advanced heart failure patients.
• Experience as a VAD Coordinator is essential; CTICU experience is a plus.
• Current South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN License required.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with Durable Mechanical Circulatory Support devices (HM 3, Heartware, BrioVAD), IABP, and Impella devices is necessary.
