About This Role
FiberTel is looking for a Travel Vac Truck Operator for our Portland location. This is a travel position with job sites in OR, WA, and ID. The Travel Vac Truck Operator will be responsible for the safe transportation of the vac truck to and from the sites. The Operator will also operate the machine in a safe and skillful manner. The preferred applicant will help the team as needed in all capacities to successfully complete the job and will perform any additional duties as directed by the foreman. This position requires a Class A CDL.
Position Responsibilities
- Operate all heavy machinery in a safe manner
- Drive vehicle in safe manner following all rules of the road
- Follow all on-site safety procedures
- Ensure contents & equipment are properly secured during transportation
- Comply with all DOT regulations and rules
- Perform daily vehicle pre-trip inspections and JHA
Position Qualifications
- Possess a valid CDL class A
- Experience operating a vac truck
- Clean driving record (no more than 2 tickets in the last 5 years)
- Strong focus on quality and safety
- Excellent time management skills
Pay and Benefits
Pay: $25-36/hr, DOE. Daily Per Diem + travel accommodations.
