Travel Ultrasound Technologist - $2,406 per week

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a 13‑week assignment in Portland, Oregon. The position requires 40 hours per week, 10‑hour day shifts, and is an immediate travel opening. The role involves operating ultrasound equipment, preparing patients, producing diagnostic images, and maintaining records using the McKesson PACS system.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and/or patient's family regarding procedures performed
• Use sonographic equipment to identify and observe the area(s) of concern
• Prepare the exam room for examinations and assist Radiologists with ultrasound procedures and ultrasound‑guided biopsies
• Report any abnormalities that require immediate attention to the appropriate medical staff
• Maintain sonography equipment and report machinery failure
• Conduct scan tests and write reports based on the results
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience (some assignments may require 2 years)
• Current BLS certification
• ARDMS National Certification
• State‑specific licensing when required
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and to bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment
