Job Summary

The Ultrasonographer General role involves operating ultrasound imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images, ensuring high-quality results for radiologist review. Responsibilities include preparing patients, performing examinations, troubleshooting equipment issues, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Job Details

  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

  • Certification in ultrasound technology
  • Valid state licensure
  • Proficiency with PACS (Picture Archive Communication System) and electronic health record systems (EPIC)
  • Excellent patient interaction skills
  • Ability to perform high-level disinfection of probes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ultrasound procedures and advanced imaging techniques
  • Float rotation may be required

Additional Information

  • If traveler resides within 50 miles of the facility, a $10/hr decrease will apply
  • Up to 16 hours of orientation are unpaid
  • The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
