Travel Ultrasound Technologist - $2,368 per week

About the role

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a 13‑week assignment in Rome, New York, starting 11/30/2026. The position is 36 hours per week on 10‑hour night shifts. The Ultrasound Technologist operates ultrasound equipment to produce accurate images for physician interpretation, prepares and cares for patients undergoing ultrasound testing, and assists with ultrasound‑guided procedures.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and/or patient's family regarding procedures performed
• Use sonographic equipment to identify and observe the area(s) of concern
• Prepare the exam room for examinations and assist Radiologists with ultrasound procedures and ultrasound‑guided biopsies
• Report any abnormalities that require immediate attention to the appropriate medical staff
• Maintain sonography equipment and report machinery failure
• Conduct scan tests and write reports based on the results
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist (note: posting also references 2 years in additional requirements)
• BLS certification
• ARDMS National Certification
• State‑specific licensing when required
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment

Pay

Pay package is based on 10‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
