Travel Ultrasound Technologist - $2,096 per week

About the role

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Fort Worth, Texas, starting November 24, 2026. This is a travel position requiring 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts. The Ultrasound Technologist will operate ultrasound equipment to produce accurate images for physician interpretation, prepare and care for patients undergoing ultrasound testing, and maintain equipment and records.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and/or patient's family regarding procedures performed
• Use sonographic equipment to identify and observe the area(s) of concern
• Prepare the exam room for examinations and assist Radiologists with ultrasound procedures and ultrasound-guided biopsies
• Report any abnormalities that require immediate attention to the appropriate medical staff
• Maintain sonography equipment and report machinery failure
• Conduct scan tests and write reports based on the results
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist (note: additional certification requirements may specify 2 years)
• BLS certification
• ARDMS National Certification
• State-specific licensing when required
• CCI (RCS) certification
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology

Qualifications

Required certifications: ARDMS, BLS, CCI (RCS). Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
