About the role

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for an immediate opening in Odessa, TX. As a US Tech, you will operate ultrasound equipment to produce accurate images for physician interpretation, prepare and care for patients undergoing ultrasound testing, and maintain equipment and records.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and/or patient's family regarding procedures performed
• Use sonographic equipment to identify and observe the area(s) of concern
• Prepare the exam room for examinations and assist Radiologists with ultrasound procedures and ultrasound‑guided biopsies
• Report any abnormalities that require immediate attention to the appropriate medical staff
• Maintain sonography equipment and report machinery failure
• Conduct scan tests and write reports based on the results
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience (note: posting also references 2 years in a separate requirements line)
• BLS certification
• ARDMS National Certification
• State‑specific licensing when required
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, or stoop for extended periods
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
