Description

Hospital-based ultrasound/sonography department
Imaging includes general, OB/GYN, and basic vascular studies including arterial Doppler
4x10-hour night shifts, primarily Monday–Thursday from 8:00 PM–6:30 AM, transitioning to overnight weekend shifts (Fri–Sun) during the latter weeks of the contract
Training shift hours are 7:30 AM–6:00 PM
40 hours per week
Position requires on-site work; no telework available
EMR: Epic (charting)

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in sonography
  • Graduate of an accredited sonography or radiography program
  • ARDMS registration required; RDMS (Abdominal or OB/GYN) or RVT (Vascular Technology) certification required — additional certifications may be required within set timeframes per facility policy
  • BLS certification required (AHA or American Red Cross)
  • Active license required, if applicable
  • Ability to work varied hours, shift lengths, and respond to on-call pager including days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently

About the Role

Produces high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation in accordance with Mayo Clinic Radiology Department standards
Maintains flexibility to staff various work locations, shift times, and lengths
Follows proper safety guidelines for self, support personnel, and patients

Pay

Pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
