Travel Trauma Ortho Surgical RN - $2,374 per week

About the role

We're looking for Medical Surgical RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Johnstown, PA. The right RN should have 1-2 years recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during examination and treatment of patient.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures.
• Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plan as prescribed by physician.

Requirements

• BLS certification
• CPI certification
• 1–2 years recent acute care experience (approximately 1.5 years)
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean and stoop without difficulty
• Ability to lift 20 pounds routinely; patient moving/lifting may require up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with confused, agitated, or uncooperative patients
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
