About the role
We are seeking a skilled Trauma ICU RN to provide exceptional patient care in a Level I Trauma facility. You will be responsible for monitoring critically ill patients, administering necessary interventions, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. This role requires a compassionate approach to patient care and the ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Trauma ICU.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs and neurological status.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Manage ventilator settings and care for ventilated patients.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using Epic charting system.
- Float as needed to ICU, IMC, and Tele units.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a critical care setting, preferably in a Trauma ICU.
- Current RN license in state of employment.
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
- PALS and TNCC certifications preferred.
- Epic charting experience is required.
- Previous charge experience is preferred.
Schedule
- 13-week contract position.
- Day shift, 3x12 hours (07:00 - 19:00).
