Travel Trauma & General Surgery Inpatient RN (Stepdown & Med-Surg) - $2,301 per week

About the role

The Trauma & General Surgery Inpatient Unit is a 33-bed high-impact nursing unit dedicated to providing exceptional care to patients dealing with complex medical conditions. Registered Nurses on this unit will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care for a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients with multi-trauma, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and post-surgical recovery.
• Perform complex wound care, manage drains and devices, and provide respiratory support as needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams, including care management and rehabilitation services.
• Maintain patient care ratios of 1:6 on the floor and 1:3 in step-down settings.
• Utilize the EPIC system for all documentation and patient care management.

Requirements

• Valid RN license and BLS certification required.
• Epic experience is mandatory.
• Minimum of Level 1 Trauma experience.
• Experience in a 1:6 patient care ratio environment is essential.
• Experience with complex wound care, chest tubes, and drains is preferred.

Schedule

Schedule 12-hour night shifts on weekends (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM) - options include Friday, Saturday, and Sunday or Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

Pay & Schedule

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
