Travel Telemetry RN - $2,649 per week

About the role

Equiliem is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a 13‑week assignment in Kansas City, Kansas. The position starts 12/14/2026, requires 48 hours per week (12‑hour shifts, days and nights), and is a travel role with 48‑hour guaranteed hours preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret EKGs and telemetry strips.
• Administer and titrate IV medications such as insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, and Amiodarone.
• Perform IV insertions, NGT placement and maintenance, chest tube maintenance, temporary pacemaker management, and Foley insertions.
• Provide post‑cardiac procedural care for ablations, cardiac catheterizations, post‑op day 1 open heart, and permanent pacemaker placements.
• Uphold patient experience goals by treating patients with courtesy and respect, responding to call lights, using patients’ preferred names, making personal connections, involving patients in bedside shift report, teaching patients how to use the phone to call the nurse directly, and asking if there is anything else needed before leaving the room.

Requirements

• Current RN license.
• Cardiac Telemetry or PCU/ICU experience.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Ability to work 48 hours per week (12‑hour shifts, days and nights) including 3 weekend shifts per scheduling period.
• Floating to any area where competency has been demonstrated.
• Unit specifics: 29 beds; patient ratio 1:4; staffing includes charge nurse, unit secretary, and PCTs.
• Equipment: Alaris IV pumps, SCD machines, client beds, Dinamap in each room, 3 Welch Allen vital machines, wound vacs, temporary pacemakers, telemetry monitor, EKG machine, bladder scanner, Doppler, Imobile for team communication.
• Documentation system: Meditech.

Schedule

Must work full‑time hours (48 hrs/week) with 3 weekend shifts per scheduling period.
