MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel assignment in Bronx, New York. The role involves providing care for adult patients before and after surgical procedures and managing patients receiving pharmaceutical treatments. MedPro Healthcare Staffing is a Joint Commission‑certified staffing agency dedicated to supporting caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for primarily adult patients before and after surgical procedures; also attend to those being treated with pharmaceuticals to manage illness.
• Be well‑versed in a large variety of health conditions.
• Complete assignments made by physicians.
• Provide routine treatment and post‑surgical care.
• Assess changes in patient's health status and perform various treatments.
• Administer medication.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of medication and treatment administration to ensure continuity of care between nursing staff, physicians and other treatment team members.

Requirements

• Active RN License
• Degree from an accredited nursing program
• BLS Certification
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Med/Surg setting
• Other requirements to be determined by the client facility
