• Hours: 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts
• Schedule: 07:00 - 19:30 (Rotating)

Requirements

• BLS & ACLS are both required
• Must be able to read strips
• Must be comfortable with patients post heart caths, CHF, COPD, arrhythmias, and other cardiac conditions
• Must be able to titrate Heparin and occasionally Lasix or Bumex
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Unit-specific orientation provided

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for post cardiac patients including those with CHF, COPD, arrhythmias, and post heart caths
• Read and interpret EKG strips accurately
• Titrate Heparin and other set rate drips as required
• Collaborate with monitor techs and nurse aides to ensure efficient unit operations
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and patient assessments
