The role involves planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs. Key Responsibilities: Identify patient needs and establish priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care for assigned patients through ongoing assessments. Initiate assessments based on patient problems or needs, physician’s medical diagnoses, and functional health frameworks. Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage care effectively for patients. Document care adhering to standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities. Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support the adoption of innovations in care delivery. Provide patient-centric care aligned with the professional nursing practice model. Execute additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications: Required Skills & Experience: A minimum of 2 years of recent telemetry experience is required. Required Education: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited nursing school is required. Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. Telemetry certification or successful completion of telemetry competency exam is required. Certifications & Licensure: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA is required. Active New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license is required. NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification is required. Telemetry certification is required. 4 hours of CEU contact for stroke is required. Skills: Required Hard Skills: Expertise in telemetry nursing is required. Required Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Work Schedule: Shifts will be during the day, totaling 36 hours per week. There will be a weekend requirement of every other weekend.
