Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients and assists physicians with patient care.
• Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient needs.
• Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment and planning.
• Develops and coordinates an individualized plan of care for assigned patients.
• Initiates assessments based on the patient's problems and medical diagnosis.
• Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.
• Manages care of patients and documents care based on standards and clinical priorities.
• Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards.
• Provides patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Required hard skills: chest tube/stroke patient experience and the ability to manage up to 6 patients.
• Required soft skills: experience with the EPIC electronic health record system.
• Licenses & Certifications: Telemetry certification and NIH Stroke certification.
