About the Role

As part of the telemetry unit, Telemetry Nurses (RN) provide care by connecting patients to machines that measure heart rate, blood pressure, breathing rate, blood‑oxygen levels, and electrocardiogram information. These machines transmit data to computer screens for continuous monitoring. Telemetry Nurses read and interpret the data to determine appropriate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Connect patients to monitoring equipment that measures blood pressure, heart rate, breathing rate, blood‑oxygen level, and electrocardiogram information.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data to assess potential health problems and patient needs.
• Develop nursing care plans and maintain accurate medical records.

Requirements

• Active RN license
• Degree from an accredited nursing program
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Telemetry setting
• Additional requirements may be determined by the client facility
