About the role

Join our dynamic General Surgery unit in Asheville, NC, where you will be a crucial part of a team providing high-quality patient care. Our unit is known for its commitment to excellence and safety, equipped with the latest technology and resources.

Responsibilities

• Manage 6-7 patients depending on the shift, ensuring high standards of nursing care.
• Monitor telemetry and administer medications as needed.
• Perform wound care and manage various tubes and catheters.
• Assist with procedures such as cholecystectomies, appendectomies, and urological surgeries.
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team, including charge nurses and CNAs.

Requirements

• Must possess telemetry competency.
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience with urology and bowel management is preferred.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
