Responsibilities
- Monitor patients on telemetry units
- Interpret and manage cardiac rhythms
- Administer medications and treatments as needed
- Document patient care in the charting system (Cerner)
- Manage IVs, peripheral lines, and other medical equipment
- Provide wound care and manage feeding tubes
- Implement isolation precautions and PPE
- Perform phlebotomy and other basic procedures
- Collaborate with rapid response/code teams
- Titrate and manage vasoactive drips
- Titrate and manage cardiac drips
- Manage dysrhythmias
- Perform blood product administration
- Manage renal failure and spinal cord injuries
- Manage post-cardiac angiogram, post-MI, and post-cardiac surgery patients
- Manage traumatic brain injury and cerebrovascular accident patients
- Manage hemodialysis management
- Manage insulin drips and insulin protocols
- Manage high flow nasal cannula (HFNC)
- Manage CPAP and BiPAP machines
- Manage central lines and PICC lines
- Manage oxygen administration and oxygen tanks
- Manage feeding tube care and management
- Manage wound care and wound vac
- Perform CPR and ACLS certifications
- Perform rapid response and code team procedures
Requirements
- 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse
- Current MO License or Compact License
