About the role
Join our dynamic team in a 25‑bed Neuro/Ortho unit in Corpus Christi, Texas, providing exceptional care to patients with neurological and orthopedic conditions. You will play a critical role in managing complex patient needs while working alongside a dedicated staff of over 40 healthcare professionals. The unit maintains a patient‑to‑nurse ratio of 6:1.
Responsibilities
- Manage chest tubes, non‑titrated Cardizem and Amiodarone drips, and weight‑based heparin drips.
- Provide essential nursing care in a fast‑paced unit.
- Utilize Baxter IV pumps, KCI wound vacs, and SCD pumps for patient treatments.
- Ensure accurate documentation using the Meditech EMR system.
Requirements
- Current RN licensure.
- BLS and ACLS certifications (mandatory).
- Experience with telemetry and Meditech EMR (preferred).
- Ability to work 12‑hour night shifts (7 PM – 7 AM).
Schedule
12‑hour night shift, 7 PM – 7 AM, 36 hours per week.
Pay
Compensation is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week, with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
