Travel Teacher

About the role

We are seeking a passionate and creative teacher to join our expanded team in Westchester County. This unique position involves travel between behavioral health locations within White Plains and Valhalla, providing academic support to school-age K-12 patients in a small classroom setting as they receive treatment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver daily lesson plans
• Provide individualized assistance to students
• Regularly communicate about student progress as needed
• Maintain accurate attendance and session reports
• Monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success
• Teach in a classroom setting with class sizes ranging from 8 to 15 students

Requirements

• B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited institution
• New York State Teaching Certification
• Comfortable working within a pediatric and adolescent population
• Flexibility with daily location, including same day call outs
• Reliable Transportation

• Experience in a similar role preferred but not required

Pay

A competitive salary is offered based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

A 40-hour a week commitment, Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm.
