Travel Surgical Services Tech

About the Role

A Surgical Technologist specializing in cardiovascular and general surgical procedures, including complex surgeries such as Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair, Aortobifemoral bypass, Carotid Endarterectomy, CABG, TAVR, TEVAR, and other vascular and thoracic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in complex cardiovascular and general surgical procedures.
• Ensure aseptic technique and maintain a sterile field.
• Handle specimens and manage sterilization processes.
• Prepare and manage case carts.
• Utilize the CVOR environment and Excellian (EPIC) charting system.
• Adhere to Universal Protocol and safety procedures.
• Support surgical teams during procedures, manage surgical instruments and supplies, and ensure patient safety and procedural efficiency.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in surgical settings, preferably in teaching hospitals.
• Certifications: BLS, NBSTSA or NCCT required.
• Proficiency with advanced surgical procedures, endovascular techniques, and equipment.
• Strong knowledge of sterilization, disinfection, and aseptic protocols.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-stakes environments with excellent attention to detail.
