Travel Sterile Processing Technician - $1,961 per week

Talent4Health is seeking a travel Sterile Processing Technician for a 13-week assignment starting on July 27, 2026, located in Moreno Valley, California.

Responsibilities

• Sitting/standing for prolonged periods, frequent walking, and reaching overhead, extensive, and repetitive.
• Communicative, auditory, and visual skills necessary.
• Adequate attention to detail and legible writing ability required.
• Ability to lift/push/pull more than 100 pounds.
• Exposure to fumes, chemicals, cold, noise, radiation, blood/body fluids, and infectious diseases.
• Decontaminates and sterilizes instruments, medical supplies, and equipment.
• Follows proper Standard Precautions in decontamination and sterilization areas.
• Maintains quality and consistency of biological and chemical wash solutions.
• Sorts and makes available mismatched sets of instruments, trays, and medical equipment in a timely manner.
• Restocks, labels, and maintains inventory, submits requisitions, collects, and distributes instruments, trays, crash carts, and facility medical equipment.
• Performs environmental maintenance duties and assists in maintaining inventory levels in sterile processing, the operating room, and equipment storage areas.
• Verifies equipment functions, requisitions for maintenance, repair, or replacement, and removes defective equipment.
• Maintains a clean work area.
• Affirms adherence to established departmental policies, objectives, and quality improvement, safety, and environmental and infection control standards.
• Communicates appropriately using good interpersonal skills.

Requirements

• Certification in sterile processing preferred but not required.
• BLS certification required.

Qualifications

Must have proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills, attention to detail, and ability to write legibly. Must also have the ability to lift/push/pull greater than 100 pounds and be exposed to fumes, chemicals, cold, noise, radiation, blood/body fluids, and infectious diseases.
