• Schedule: 19:00 - 07:30 (D/N, Rotating), 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts
• Start Date: ASAP

• Pay Range: $2,336.08 - $2,452.88

Requirements

• RN License
• BLS and ACLS certification
• 6 months current experience in Med-Surg or Stepdown
• EPIC experience required
• Ability to handle a 6-patient (med-surg) or 3-patient (stepdown) caseload
• Experience titrating drips including Heparin, insulin, anti-hypertensives, antiarrhythmics, phenobarbitol, ketamine, PCA medications, and TPN
• Ability to read telemetry strips with Philips monitors
• Willingness to float or be pulled to other units
• Available for weekend work and about half of WVUH recognized holidays

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care on a Med-Surg/Stepdown unit with a diverse medical patient population
• Titrate drips and manage titratable medications such as Heparin and insulin
• Receive and follow orders for patient treatments and medication adjustments
• Monitor telemetry equipment and collaborate with the telemetry surveillance team as needed
• Float to other units when required, adapting to different patient care settings
• Maintain accurate documentation within the EPIC electronic health record system
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays when scheduled
• Support the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
