Travel Stepdown RN - $2,319 per week

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Step-Down Unit. The ideal candidate will possess experience in a medical-surgical environment, particularly in caring for patients in a step-down setting. This position involves comprehensive patient monitoring, care coordination, and collaboration with healthcare team members to deliver exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients in a step-down environment, including critical monitoring.
• Administer medications and titrate drips as necessary, including Cardizem, Nicardipine, Insulin, Heparin, Amiodarone, and Lasix.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Ensure accurate charting and documentation in the EPIC system.
• Maintain telemetry for all step-down patients and respond to any changes in patient status.

Requirements

• Active nursing license with the required credentials.
• BLS certification.
• Previous experience in a medical-surgical unit, specifically in a step-down setting.
• Ability to work effectively with nursing aids and support staff.

Pay & Schedule

The Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
