Travel Stepdown RN - $1,869 per week

About the role

The Stepdown Immediate Care Unit RN will provide high-quality nursing care to patients with varying acuity levels. The nurse will work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing critical thinking and clinical skills to manage patient needs effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for stepdown patients, including cardiac surgery and interventional cardiology cases.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, interpreting telemetry strips and vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring proper protocols for safety and efficacy.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams, respiratory services, and social services.
• Utilize and manage equipment such as BiPAP/CPAP, telemetry monitors, and IV lines.

Requirements

• Minimum 1.5-2+ years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in Medical/Surgical and Telemetry, and 2 years in Stepdown care.
• Current BCLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Must possess an active WV or Compact RN license.
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips is essential.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) License in West Virginia or Compact State.

Skills

• Strong clinical skills and critical thinking.
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and medication administration.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation).
• Tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
