Travel Stepdown RN - $1,768 per week

About the role

Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN – Travel Nurse position in Memphis, Tennessee. Specialty: Stepdown. Discipline: RN. Duration: 13 weeks, 36 hours per week, 12‑hour day shifts. Employment type: Travel. Immediate opening.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret and record electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action whenever information from monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology.
• Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean and stoop without difficulty; lift up to 20 lb routinely, with patient moves requiring up to 50 lb.
• Cope with stress in a fast‑paced environment and relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Requirements

• Current ACLS and BLS certification.
• Minimum 1‑2 years recent acute care experience (Progressive Care Unit/Stepdown preferred).
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
