Travel Stepdown Registered Nurse - $2,018 per week

Junxion Med Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for an assignment in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

About the Role

This is a 13-week travel assignment starting on August 10, 2026, with a 36-hour workweek. The shift is 12 hours during the day.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in a Stepdown/PCU unit with a typical patient ratio of 4:1
• Manage a wide range of clinical scenarios, including but not limited to:
• Accessing/Managing Ports, Aneurysms and repair
• BiPAP/CPAP management, Blood Product Administration
• Cardiac Telemetry, Central line care/management
• Chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac, Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI)
• Craniotomy, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), ER Holding
• Feeding tube care and management, Heparin Protocols
• High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretations of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), dysrhythmias
• Intracranial bleeds, Isolation Precautions/PPE, IV insulin protocols
• Lumbar drains, Management of Cardiac drips (no titration), Vasoactive drips (no titration)
• Management of dysrhythmias, MS/Tele, Nasal Cannula
• Neuro Stepdown, Non-invasive airway management, Ortho trauma
• Oxygen Administration, Oxygen tanks, Pacemakers/Temporary/Permanent
• PCA, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, Peripheral Line Care/Management
• Peripheral nerve block catheters, Phlebotomy, PICC line management
• Post Cardiac Angiogram, Post MI, Post TPA care
• Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Surgery, Hemodialysis Management, Neurosurgery
• Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring, Renal failure, Seizure disorders
• Sheath Removal, Spinal cord injury, Starting and maintaining IVs
• Substance Withdrawal, Surgical drains, Telemetry (on-unit monitoring)
• Thrombolytic Agents, Titration of Cardiac drips, Vasoactive drips, Insulin drips
• Total joint replacement, Tracheostomy care/management, Traction
• Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), Traumatic Brain injury
• Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, Wound Care/Wound Vac
• Experience with Cerner charting system

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in Stepdown or ICU department
• Valid state license (must be pending or willing to participate in the Aya licensure project)
• Certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Preferred Qualifications

• CPI certification (preferred but not required)
• Previous charge experience
