About the role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cardiac Step-Down RN to provide high-quality patient care in a telemetry-monitored unit in Columbia, South Carolina. This is a 13-week travel contract position with a day shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00), including rotating weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in a cardiac step-down unit.
• Monitor and manage patient vitals and telemetry readings.
• Administer medications and perform intravenous (IV) therapy.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Respond to emergency situations and provide critical care as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a cardiac or telemetry unit.
• Current RN license in South Carolina or compact state license.
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association).
• Strong telemetry and IV start skills.
• Travel experience is preferred, but first-timers might be considered.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
